Webin Stocktake privacy notice

Information used

We use your Shopify store domain, product and inventory identifiers, product titles, SKUs, barcodes, locations and inventory quantities to create and apply stocktakes. Counts, notes, approvals, timestamps and adjustment receipts form your audit history. Shopify sign-in provides staff identifiers and session information, which may include staff name and email, to authenticate access and verify the store owner. Do not put customer or other sensitive personal information in notes.

Purpose and service providers

Data is used to operate the app, prevent unauthorized or duplicate inventory changes, troubleshoot failures and provide requested support. The app is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Seoul and communicates with Shopify. We do not request customer, order or payment-card data, sell personal information, or use merchant data to train AI models.

Storage and deletion

Records are retained while the app is installed to provide count history. Uninstalling removes stored authentication sessions when Shopify delivers the uninstall notification. On Shopify's subsequent shop-redaction notification, we delete the store's stocktake records and remaining sessions. We retain a minimal deletion record containing the store domain and request time to prevent deleted data from returning during recovery. Operational backups are retained for a limited period and removed through backup rotation; a restore must reapply recorded deletion requests before serving traffic.

Browser storage and security

Unsaved count drafts use session storage in the current browser tab, separated by store and staff account and expiring after 24 hours. Authentication uses Shopify. Access is checked on the server; transport uses HTTPS in the production service.
